
About Reggie Continued...
It took about a year to put his
first show together but finally in October of 2000, Reggie gave his
first performance at Michael's Restaurant and was hired back there
three weeks later. Since then he's played at private parties, Elks
Lodge, Mt. Airy Country Club, Cross Creek Country Club, Midkiff's
Restaurant, and Downtown Live at the Emporium in Mt. Airy.
Also, Reggie has performed with
Melva Houston and performed at her International Music Festival. He
has also played at the Wolf's Lair, Doe Run Lodge, Freddie B's,
Willie's Honky Tonk, Ham's Restaurants, a private party for some of
the 82nd Airborne at Fort Bragg, and competed in the Annual Piedmont
Blues Preservation Society's Talent Showcase.
In May
of 2004, Reggie released his first CD. Since then, he has performed
at Roy's Place, owned by the well known bluesman and recording
artist Roy Roberts and still performs at private parties, clubs, and
bars such as; Carlisle's Pub and Auction House Bar and Grill where
he performs on a regular basis.
In
Reggie's hometown, he has played at the Good Life Cafe during the
Autumn Leaves Festival. Goober's "52", which is the most unique and
popular restaurant in Mount Airy, just hired him for a night of
blues on their patio.
In August 2004, Reggie played a benefit at The Club House in
Greensboro, NC with other blues artists such as Roy Roberts, Ladies
Auxiliary, and other local bands. |
